Ethics approval and consent to participate
: The pilot trial design is covered within the ethics application and overall protocol of the POPPIE study (protocol v12 17–11-16). A favourable ethical opinion was given by the London South East NHS Research Ethics Committee (NRES) on 7 March 2017 (REC Ref 17/LO/0029; IRAS Project ID 214196). Informed written consent is being sought from participants taking part in the trial and in the interviews. Prospective protocol modifications are being recorded and communicated to the NRES and Health Research Authorities.
