Ethics approval and consent to participate
: The study was conducted according to the Declaration of Helsinki principles. The study protocol was approved by the Ethics Committee of the Maternity School of the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil (reg 1.516.656). Participants provided written informed consent prior to enrolment and data collection, including permission for collection of blood samples.The feasibility trial was registered in the ClinicalTrials.gov database (NCT, NCT03148483). The registration was published on the website on 11 May 2017 (), and recruitment began in April 2017.
