: This study was approved by the National Committee on Health Research Ethics in Denmark (Case no. 1-10-72-237-19) and by the Danish Data Protection Agency. The project complies with the Data Protection Regulation and the Data Protection Act. If any amendments to the protocol are necessary, the project manager will inform all relevant parties and obtain additional approvals.Previous studies have shown that the participants are able to conduct the intervention without discomfort. Patients may experience a light respiratory effort. Written informed consent to participate will be obtained by the physiotherapist assigned to the patient at the ward. The study will be conducted in accordance with the Helsinki Declaration of 2008. The trial is registered at ClinicalTrials.gov (NCT04686019). The data are safely stored in a REDCap database hosted by Aarhus University [, ]. REDCap is a secure web application for building and managing online surveys and databases.
