Approval from the responsible local and/or national human research ethics committee and competent authority for regulating clinical trials was to be obtained prior to the start of the study at each site; however, the decision to stop the study was made before such submissions could be made.Consent to participate was to be obtained from all participants prior to conducting any study related procedures.
