: Written consent for participation and future publication using a Participant Information and Consent Form (PICF) as a sub-study of The Virtual Hospital, a “digital health ecosystem supporting mobile person-centred care for chronic conditions” (Appendix ). Written, informed consent will be obtained at the first liver clinic appointment, scheduled within 7 days of admission. The consent process will be performed by a sub-investigator. Language interpreters will be used when required. Consent can be withdrawn at any time. Intention-to-treat analysis will be utilised to account for dropout.
