: Ethical approval for studying the effect of dietary oils on patients with MetS and bio-banking of blood fractions for both patients and their spouses were obtained from the ethics committee of Shahid Sadoughi University of Medical Sciences, Yazd, Iran on 24th November 2022 with the reference number of IR.SSU.SPH.REC.1400.167.The trial was also registered in the Iranian Registry of Clinical Trials (IRCT) on the 4th of March 2022 (registration ID: IRCT20130223012571N8).The protocol was fully described for all of the study participants during the first visit and they filled out a written informed consent form provided by the principal investigator before entering the study.
