: This article is the result of a postgraduate thesis for an MSc Degree in pediatric nursing. It was approved by the ethics committee of the Lorestan University of Medical Sciences with the code of ethics (IR.LUMS.REC.1399.066). This clinical trial was registered in IRCT20211225053516N1. In addition, permissions were obtained from the hospital authorities. The researcher informed all of the participants about the course of the study, being free to participate or withdraw from the study. They were also assured of the data confidentiality and the absence of any constraint to participate. Written informed consent was obtained from all participants. KC was performed with full respect for privacy and ethical codes, without compromising the newborn’s treatment and care process.
