: The study was approved by the Institutional Review Board of the Obstetrics and Gynecology Hospital of Fudan University in Shanghai, China (Reference number: 2021–05; date of approval: 18 January 2021). This study is conducted in accordance with the Declaration of Helsinki. All patients will be given both written and oral information about the study from their gynecologist during the intake for surgery. Patients must sign an informed consent form in accordance with the Declaration of Helsinki before being included in the study. Refusal to participate will not affect standard treatment. Patients can withdraw from the study at any time during the study period. The patients or their family members can address their concerns or queries about the study related questions to the project leaders (HJ or XW) throughout the study period. On the consent form, participants will be asked if they agree to use their data should they choose to withdraw from the trial. Participants will also be asked for permission for the research team to share relevant data with people from the universities taking part in the research or from regulatory authorities, where relevant. Tumor and adjacent normal tissues and serum samples will be collected in order to investigate the mechanism of cervical cancer and guide individualized targeted therapy and immunotherapy. Biological specimens will be collected during the surgical procedures and first used for routine diagnostic tests. The remaining biological samples will be stored at the centralized Biobank at Obstetrics and Gynecology Hospital of Fudan University for future use in ancillary studies.
