: The protocol has been approved by the Institute Ethics Committee (IEC) of All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Bhubaneswar (IEC Number: T/ENF/CM&FM/22/51). Written informed consent will be obtained from all the participants before recruitment by the research staff. The participants with diagnosed morbidity will be provided care at the doorstep (by a primary investigator) or referred to the appropriate government hospital whenever required. Privacy and confidentiality will be maintained. The de-identified data will be analysed. This is a low-risk behavioural intervention study as decided by the Ethics. Hence, a Data Monitoring committee is not needed. We will request consent for review of participants’ medical records, and for the collection of blood samples to assess fasting blood sugar (FBS), post-prandial blood sugar (PPBS), glycosylated haemoglobin (HBA1C), lipid profile, renal function test (RFT).
