: The study received ethical approval from the various Ethics Committees of all partners’ institutions and countries involved in the project. For Switzerland, the study received ethical clearance from the Ethics Commission of Northwest and Central Switzerland (EKNZ), supported by the Swiss TPH internal “human subject research desk”. A permanent Ethics Review Board from ICRC composed of internal and external members reviewed and approved the project. For DRC, the study received ethical approval from the Institutional Ethical Commission of the Catholic University of Bukavu. In Iraq, the study received approval from the Scientific Committee of the College of Medicine, Al Mustansiriya University in Baghdad.
