: This trial uses a single institutional review board, and the main application was approved by the University of Michigan Medicine Institutional Review Board on April 27th, 2022 (HUM00210749). The study team will review the main consent document in full with each participant and answer questions. They will inform the participant that participation is optional, and they are free to leave the study at any time.
: All participants in the trial provide informed, written consent using institutional review board-approved consent forms. The authors will provide a model consent form upon request.
: Dr. Saslow received funding from Sentinel Management, Milken Foundation, and the Baszucki Brain Research Fund to support research on the impact of a ketogenic diet for severe mental illness.
