Declarations
:
: The clinical trial is being conducted in line with the Declaration of Helsinki. Institutional ethics approval has been granted (SALHN/HREC/2023/HRE00339). The trial was prospectively registered with the Australian and New Zealand Clinical Trials Registry (ACTRN12623001309673P, 15/12/23) which included all items from the World Health Organisation Trial Registration data set. Due to the small size of the trial and the use of two interventions already in routine clinical practice, there was no requirement from the institutional ethics committee for any additional group to oversee the trial such as a data management committee or endpoint adjudication committee beyond the core clinical trial committee. Requests for data access will be considered on a case-by-case basis in consultation with the institutional ethics committee. All participants must be informed about the trial and given informed written consent to be enrolled.
