Ethics approval and consent to participate: The Institutional Review Board of the Department of Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation at Jashore University of Science and Technology approved this study (ID: PTR-JUST/IRB/2025/03/192404) (see Supplementary file 2). The study was prospectively registered as a randomized clinical trial on March 24, 2025, with the Clinical Trials Registry-India (CTRI) under registration number CTRI/2025/03/083260 (see Supplementary file 3). All procedures followed the ethical principles outlined in the Declaration of Helsinki. Participants provided written informed consent before enrollment and could withdraw from the study at any time without affecting their ongoing intervention. The anonymized data were accessible only to authorized personnel, and all involved individuals adhered to strict confidentiality protocols.
