: The data included in this study are abstracted from anonymised schistosomiasis surveys that have been published elsewhere, and/or are available open access from the ESPEN data portal. All data in our study were aggregated at village level, and did not contain information identifiable at individual or household level. Hence, there were no specific ethics issues that warranted special attention. Ethics approval, written informed consent procedures, and treatment of infected individuals are given in the respective studies where the original data were published.
