Ethics approval and consent to participate
: This study obtained ethical approval from Institutional Ethics Review Committee of Arba Minch University (Ref. No. 1466/111). The study procedures were explained, and written and informed verbal consents were obtained from all households. Local health authorities and the community were informed about the study using official letters, and written permission was sought prior to commencement of the study. Informed consent was obtained from the head of study households for CDC light trap mosquito collection. For all animals used for tent trials, prophylaxis was given to prevent infection and stress was minimized.
