: Informed assent and consent were obtained from all participants in the cohort. This study, which included human stool samples, the collection of <i>A. lumbricoides</i> male and female adult worms, and their examination for helminth infection using microscopy, was approved by the Human Research Ethics Committee of the Faculty of Tropical Medicine, Mahidol University, Bangkok, Thailand (MUTM 2021-020-01 and MUTM 2021-020-02). Informed assent and consent were obtained from all individuals. The result from the stool examinations has been reported to health promoting hospitals in the targeted areas for further action by local medical doctors or heath officers according to treatment guidelines provided by the Department of Disease Control, Ministry of Public Health, Thailand [].
