: Administrative research authorization was granted by the respective Regional Delegates of Public Health for the larval survey after reading and approving the protocol. The Ethics Committee of the Ministry of Public Health of Cameroon validated all the activities of the National Onchocerciasis Control Programme (NOCP) within the framework of control and elimination of the disease. In addition, the protocol for human landing collection of adult black flies was read and approved by the Committee for the Control of Health Delivery and Related Activities of the North Regional Delegation of Public Health (Ref. 0550/AR/D/DRSP/BCASS/CNo1/21). Informed consent was sought from all vector collectors before the commencement of the study. The purpose and schedules for the study were explained to the collectors, and those who agreed to serve as collectors signed an informed consent form. Fly collectors were free to opt out any time without prior notification of the research team.
