: The study was approved by the ethics committees of the University of Sciences, Technologies and Techniques of Bamako (No 2021/124/CE/USTTB) and the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine (Reference 17283-1). The trial was registered at ClinicalTrials.gov (NCT04149119). Household survey respondents aged 18 years or older provided informed written consent, and parents or guardians of children under 18 provided informed written consent for their child’s participation. Those who were RDT-positive were treated according to national guidelines. The heads of households selected for entomological monitoring each month or their representatives were asked for written informed consent to participate.
