: Ethical clearance for this study was obtained from the University of Buea Institutional Review Board (Ref. 2021/136304/UB/SG/IRB/FHS). Before collectors were trained for fly collection, the nature and objectives of the study were explained to them, and informed consent was obtained. Fly collectors were given a dose of ivermectin as prophylactic treatment against filariasis before the entomological survey.
