: All the goats were fed according to the local cashmere goat standard of Shaanxi (DB61/T583-2013). The sample collection process was approved by Experimental Animal Manage Committee of Northwest A&F University (Permit Number: NWAFAC1019). All operations and experimental procedures adhered to the national standard of the People’s Republic of China, “Laboratory animal-Guideline for ethical review of animal welfare” (GB/T 35892–2018) and the “Guide for the Care and Use of Laboratory Animals: Eighth Edition”, with meticulous measures taken to minimize invasiveness.
