Ethics approval and consent to participate
: The investigation of urine and swab samples from healthy individuals and inpatients was approved by the Institutional Review Board of Huizhou Municipal Central Hospital (KYLL20190069), and informed consent was obtained from all healthy individuals and inpatients participated in the study. The characterization of <i>A. baumannii</i> clinical isolates was approved by the Institutional Review Board of the First Affiliated Hospital of Sun Yat-sen University ([2019]483) and the Second Affiliated Hospital of Soochow University (JD-LK-2020-029-01), respectively, and informed consent was obtained for the collection of <i>A. baumannii</i> clinical isolates. All experiments involving human subjects were conducted in accordance with the principles of the Helsinki Declaration, and no clinical symptoms and personal information were involved. The animal study was also approved by the Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (IACUC) at South China Agricultural University and performed accordingly.
