: All experimental procedures and animal care were approved by the Institutional American Association for Laboratory Animal Science Care and Use Committee (IACUC, protocols #19164 and #21135) and performed in accordance with the Stark Neurosciences Research Institute Laboratory Animal Resource Center (LARC), Indiana University School of Medicine. Tissues from patients with Alzheimer’s disease (AD) and control subjects were provided in frozen blocks by the Brain Resource Center at Johns Hopkins University (Baltimore, MD). Tissue cases were collected with patients’ informed consent and handled under protocols approved by the Johns Hopkins Institutional Review Board.
