Ethics approval and consent to participate: PBMCs were obtained from healthy donors at the Blood Bank of Aarhus University Hospital. Buffy coats were provided as de-identified donor material, and no identifiable personal or clinical data were available to the researchers. According to Danish law, the use of anonymized buffy coats does not require specific ethical approval. All animal experiments were approved by the Danish Animal Experiments Inspectorate (approval 2023–15-0201–01407 and 2021–15-0201–00922).
