: OA synoviocytes were obtained from a commercial source (Cell Applications Inc.). Harvest of synoviocytes was performed following appropriate IRB approvals from partner sites with informed written consent from the donor. Patients were de-identified. Authors did not seek patients’ consent to study these biological samples. This study was approved by the IRB at Chapman University, Orange, CA, USA.Harvest of synovial tissues from mice and histological evaluations of mice joints were approved by the IACUC Committee at Rhode Island Hospital, Providence, RI, USA. All experiments were performed in accordance with established guidelines and regulations.
