: All animal protocols were authorized by the UK Home Office and implemented in accordance with the UK’s Animals (Scientific Procedures) Act of 1986 and the UK Home Office Code of Practice. The research project and all the protocols were permitted by the University of Birmingham Animal Ethics Review Committee who provisioned ethical surveillance of the study.
