: The chicken experimentation protocol was approved by the Institutional Animal Ethics Committee (IAEC) of IISER-Kolkata. All procedures were conducted in accordance with the guidelines of the Committee for Control and Supervision of Experiments on Animals (CCSEA), Ministry of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry, and Dairying, Government of India. The permit number for the experimental chicken protocol is IISERK/IAEC/AP/2022/81. The handling and disposal of the reference strains of <i>Campylobacter jejuni</i> were performed according to the guidelines of the Institutional Bio-Safety Committee (IBSC), IISER-Kolkata (Permit no: IISERK/IBSC/2019/02).
