The study was subsequently approved by the Research and Ethics Board of Health, Ministry of Health, Bhutan (approval number: REBH/Approval/2023/00) and the Medical Education and Research Unit of Jigme Dorji Wangchuk National Referral Hospital (approval number JDWNRH/MERU/01/2022–2023/1423). Informed consent was obtained from all of the surrogates (parents/guardians) of the participants who were involved in the study. Informed consent was provided in two languages: Dzongkha (the national language of Bhutan) and English.
