: Sample and clinical data collection were conducted as part of the project titled “Description of the Intestinal Metagenome of Patients with Diarrhea Treated at the Hospital Universitario Mayor Méderi”, approved under protocol DVO005 1856-CV1493 by the Research Ethics Committee of Universidad del Rosario (CEI-UR). This project was classified as minimal risk according to Resolution 008430 of 1993, which establishes the “scientific, technical, and administrative standards for health research” in Colombia.
