: The present study was conducted after the acquisition of the code of ethics (IR.KMU.REC.1398.558) from Kerman University of Medical Sciences and the clinical trial code (date of first registration 14/02/2020, IRCT20200203046358N1- Additional file) from the Iranian registry of clinical trials, with the collaboration of the manager and head of Afzalipour hospital and the acquisition of informed consent from eligible patients. The purpose of this study was explained to patients in intensive care units. Patients were explained that this intervention would not interfere with their treatment, they could withdraw from the study at any time, they would receive routine care, and they would be protected from any physical, psychological, or social harm. All methods were carried out in accordance with relevant guidelines and regulations.
