: This study was reviewed and approved by the Wayne State University Institutional Review Board (Protocol #IRB-24–11-7337) and determined to be exempt from further review. The initiative was conducted under a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the Detroit Public Schools Community District (DPSCD), the Detroit Public Schools Health Corps (DPSHC), and Wayne State University, which granted institutional approval for the organization, evaluation, and reporting of the sideline coverage and preventive care program. The IRB waived the requirement for individual informed consent, as data collection involved only de-identified, aggregate information from program records and optional anonymous surveys. All activities were conducted in collaboration with the DPSCD Athletics Department, whose leadership was fully informed and provided institutional consent for participation. All study procedures were performed in accordance with the ethical standards of the institutional research committee and with the 1964 Declaration of Helsinki and its later amendments. No identifying information, biological specimens, or animal subjects were collected or used.
