: The Uganda measles/rubella case-based surveillance is a national program approved by the Ministry of Health and is supported by the WHO as part of the global goal to control and eliminate measles and rubella. Patient information and specimen collection respected the human subjects procedures stipulated in the WHO Africa region measles/rubella surveillance guidelines. All methods were performed in accordance with the relevant guidelines and regulations.
