: Ethical approval (R021039) was obtained from The Gambia Government/MRC Joint Ethics Committee through the Research and Publication Committee of The University of The Gambia (Republic). The Director of Health Services granted permission for data collection. An official latter was sent to the Director of Health Services for his approval, a copy of which was sent to both the region and the hospital. Informed consent was also obtained from participants after explaining the purpose of the study and what was expected of them.
