Approval was granted by the Health Research Ethics Committee of the Lagos University Teaching Hospital (No: ADM/ DCST/HREC/APP/2726) before participants’ enrolment in the study. Informed consent was obtained from all individual participants included in the study. Participants were diagnosed with T. vaginalis infection at no cost to them.
