: Ethical approval was granted from the Mount Kenya University Institutional Review Committee in Kigali, Rwanda on 28th October, 2021, and permission for conducting the research among primary schools in the district was obtained on 7th of January, 2022. All study participants were informed about the objectives of the study in a written invitation as well as prior to participation in the study. Verbal consent was obtained from all participants. The researcher opted for verbal informed consent rather than written consent based on the assumption that the study posed no risk of harm to the participants. Additionally, before data collection began, all participants were thoroughly informed that their participation was voluntary and that any information shared would be treated with strict confidentiality.
