: This protocol was incorporated into the ISRCTN registry (ISRCTN14013636) on September 2, 2022. Then the Ethics Committee from the Neuroscience Institute of the University of Guadalajara approved this protocol on April 28, 2023 (ref. ET122022-356). Moreover, a study protocol was published previously in []. This research was implemented under the Declaration of Helsinki. Since all the participants were under 16 years of age, written informed consent was obtained from parents or legal guardians to authorize the child’s participation. Then, all children agreed to participate voluntarily in this study. In addition, the research process was explained to the children in age-appropriate language, and each child consented to participate by signing an assent form, previously approved by their parents or guardians. Both documents highlight how the authors will secure and protect the personal information provided by the participants.

: Consent for data publication was obtained from both parents/guardians and children. Additionally, parents/guardians and children gave permission to use the data exclusively for research purposes. The authors are committed to safeguarding the anonymity of the participants. These conditions were clearly stated in both the informed consent form and the assent form.
