PPIE involvement and engagement in the InflAIM programme was approved by the University of Chester, Faculty of Health, Medicine and Society, School of Nursing and Midwifery’s Research Ethics Sub-Committee in May 2025. (REC Reference: FRC0425-954). PPIE Participants were informed about the aims and process of the programme at recruitment, provided with a programme handbook, and advised that they could withdraw from the programme at any time. Participants also provided informed written or verbal consent for the outcomes of the meetings to be shared for academic dissemination and other relevant purposes.
