: This study was carried out in line with the ethics guiding research undertakings on human subjects as approved by the Ethics Committee of Jos University Teaching Hospital, Plateau State, Nigeria, with reference number JUTH/DCS/IREC/127/XXXI/436 under JUTH Health Research Ethics Committee meeting number NHREC/JUTH05/1022. In addition, permission was granted from the Department of Paediatrics, Jos University Teaching Hospital, where the study was carried out with utmost confidentiality in line with good laboratory practice and Helsinki declaration.
