: The discovery cohorts involving 221 adolescents at the screening and 169 at recall represent a part of the “psychiatric health in adolescents” study conducted in Uppsala. This study was approved by the Regional Ethics Committee of Uppsala (DNR: 2011/446). All participants gave their written informed consent regarding participation in the study. The study protocols regarding the cohort of the 88 suicide attempters were approved by the Ethics Review Board in Stockholm (DNRs: 00-194,2015/1454-32).
