Ethics approval and consent to participate
: The FINGER trial was approved by the Coordinating Ethics Committee of the Hospital District of Helsinki and Uusimaa, and all participants gave written informed consent at the screening and baseline visits. Participants in the MRI sub-study gave a separate consent for MRI scans.
