Ethics approval and consent to participate
: The present study was approved by the ethics committee of Nippon Dental University School of Life Dentistry at Tokyo (Approval No. NDU-T2013-10) and was conducted in accordance with the amended Declaration of Helsinki. Informed consent was obtained from all individual donors after fully explaining the nature of the procedure and the intended use of the tissue obtained. All animal experiments were performed in accordance with the “Regulations for Animal Experimentation and Laboratory Animal Facility” in The Nippon Dental University School of Life Dentistry at Tokyo. The procedure was approved by the Animal Experiments Committee of The Nippon Dental University School of Life Dentistry at Tokyo.
