Ethics approval and consent to participate
: Platelet donors were volunteer healthy persons giving informed consent, who had not been taking any platelet inhibiting medication for at least 2 weeks. The Mannheim Ethics Commission II confirmed that the regular blood donor questionnaire and informed consent documentation waives the need for ethical approval.MSC experiments were approved by the Mannheim Ethics Commission II (vote numbers 2010-262 N-MA, 2009-210 N-MA, 49/05 and 48/05).
