: Rat islet isolation was performed in accordance with the European Council Directive 2010/63/UE and the recommendations of the French Ministry of Agriculture (2013–118) on the care and use of laboratory animals. Procedures were approved (n°9998_LBFA-U1055) by the local ethic committee and agreed by the French Ministry of Research. All protocols were carried out in the Animal facility of the Department of Biology of the University (D3842110001).Mesenchymal stem cells were isolated from bone marrow aspirated from human healthy donors who gave their written informed consent. All procedures complied with the French public health code (Article L1241–1).
