: The study was conducted in accordance with the Declaration of Helsinki, and the protocol was approved for the project “<i>Analisi </i>in vitro<i> dei profili secretori delle cellule mesenchimali stromali del tessuto adiposo</i>” by the local research ethics committee “<i>Comitato etico di Area Vasta Emilia Centro della Regione Emilia-Romagna</i>” (authorization number: 152 354-2018-Sper-IOR—20th June 2018). Informed consent to use the discarded surgical tissue for research purposes was signed by all the enrolled patients.
