: The studies involving human participants were reviewed and approved by approval number 041000, “Comité de Investigación y Etica,” Secretaría Distrital de Salud, Bogotá, Colombia. The title of the approved study was “Diseño, fabricación y evaluación de constructos generados a partir de andamios biológicos o sintéticos y células estromales mesenquimales de cordón umbilical para reparación de lesiones en tejido óseo, epitelial y cartilaginoso”. The patients/participants provided their written informed consent to participate in this study. Date of the ethics approval was on April 22, 2019. Animal experiments involved were approved by the Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee of ANESTCOL S.A.S, Bogota, Colombia (Animal Ethics Approval No:FAC-0440) and were conducted in accordance with the guidelines of the National Statute for the Protection of Animals (law 84 of 1989), Law 1774 of 2016 and Title V of resolution 8430 of 1993, Ministry of Health of Colombia.
