: The research titled "Cultivation of Limbal Stem Cells for Clinical Application" received approval from the Ethics Committee of The Sestre milosrdnice University Hospital Center on December 29, 2014, with the reference number EP-I5333/I4. The objective of the study was to ensure the proper implementation of all procedures, with patients' signed informed consent, adhering to Good Clinical Practice and the Helsinki Declaration. These procedures received approval from the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Croatia under the designation of "hospital exemption" on August 20, 2018. The hospital exemption, as outlined in Regulation (EC) No 1394/2007, permits the use of ATMPs that are "prepared on a non-routine basis, according to specific quality standards, as a custom-made product for an individual patient.
