: This study, titled “Mesenchymal stem cells: a novel therapeutic approach for feline inflammatory bowel disease” was approved by the Ethical Committee of Huazhong Agricultural University (Ethics No. HZAUCA-2024-0026). The project was reviewed and approved on May 7, 2024, by the Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (IACUC) of Huazhong Agricultural University. The experiments adhered to the National Institutes of Health guidelines for the ethical use of laboratory animals, the Animal Welfare Act, and the regulations of the Ministry of Science and Technology of the People’s Republic of China. The ethical approval encompasses all experimental procedures involving short-haired cats, with project oversight by Professor Jiakui Li. The project was conducted under the approval number SYXK: 2020-0084, which governs the use of laboratory animals at Huazhong Agricultural University
