: The commercial HMrSV5 cells and 293 T cells used in this study were purchased from Guangzhou Jennio Biotech Co., Ltd (, ). The human umbilical cord mesenchymal stem cells used in this study were purchased from the Guangdong Cord Blood Bank for scientific research only. We confirmed that all donors or their legally authorized representatives have provided appropriate written informed consent to use their samples for scientific research. The ethical approval for this study, including the use of human cells, was granted by the Ethics Committee of the Affiliated Panyu Central Hospital of Guangzhou Medical University on November 23, 2020 (PYRC-2020-016). The committee was responsible for overseeing the entire study, ensuring that all aspects of the study comply with ethical standards and relevant regulations. All animal experimental protocols were approved by Guangzhou Forevergen Biosciences for Laboratory Animal Welfare and Ethical review board on November 5, 2021. Title of the approved project Mechanism of Chinese cord blood MSC exosomes in the treatment of peritoneal fibrosis (IACUC-AEWC-F2211019), and performed in accordance with the Guide for the Care and Use of Laboratory Animals (National Institutes of Health, eighth edition, 2011). This study is reported in accordance with ARRIVE guidelines for animal experiments. Guangzhou Forevergen Laboratory Animal Center was a third-party contract research organization that collaborates with our institution, providing facilities and technical support for our animal experimental projects.
