: The human mesenchymal stem cells used in this study were obtained from Lonza, who state “these cells were isolated from donated human tissue after obtaining permission for their use in research applications by informed consent or legal authorization.” SH-SY5Y human neuroblastoma cells are a thrice cloned subline of SK-N-SH. SK-N-SH was established by (Biedler et al., 1973). As this cell line was established circa 1973, information for informed consent would only be available from the originators.
