: All animal experiments for this study were in accordance with the Animal Research: Reporting of In Vivo Experiments (ARRIVE) guidelines 2.0. All animal procedures and protocols were approved by the Experimental Animal Ethics Committee of Peking University Third Hospital (approval number: SA2022341; date of approval: March 7, 2022; title of approved project: “Distraction force promotes the osteogenesis in facial sutures”). HL-60 cells (cat. CL-0110) were bought from Wuhan Pricella Biotechnology Co. (Wuhan, China). The HL-60 cell line was established in 1977 from a female patient with acute myeloid leukemia [, ]. It has been used for decades to study normal myeloid differentiation and leukemia biology, and many studies have used HL-60 cells from Pricella [, ]. According to the 2016 ISSCR Guidelines for Stem Cell Research and Clinical Translation, the use of historical cell lines from pathological specimens are permissible for use in stem cell research.
