: All mice were bred, housed and handled in the Association for Assessment and Accreditation of Laboratory Animal Care-accredited animal facility of the University of South Carolina. All animal procedures and care are performed according to national and international policies and institutional guidelines of the ethics committee of University of South Carolina. A protocol (including the research question, key design features, and analysis plan) was prepared before the study, and was registered under the protocol “Investigate novel mechanisms in the development and treatment of leukemia”.
